Newly engaged & looking for ways to ask your maid of honor & bridesmaids? Well, today’s post is for you! This was one of my favorite parts of wedding planning and getting to ask your friends to stand beside you on your special day is something you won’t forget.
Justin and I got engaged two years ago and are finally getting married in a few weeks. EEEEKKKK It’s getting so close, I can’t believe it. At the beginning of our engagement, I started to think about who I wanted to stand beside me and started pinteresting & finding inspiration for all of the bridesmaid/maid of honor proposals. Since all of my friends live in different states, I wasn’t as lucky to be able to ask them all in one place. I asked them each individually and in different ways!
If you’re looking for the right time to ask, I would suggest doing it a year out because then you can get an idea of the right people who you know will stand beside you on that special day of yours!
Where I Purchased Maid of Honor/Bridesmaid Gifts
So let’s just start with saying that ETSY has been my #1 go-to for all things crafty and wedding related. There are so many great shops and ideas to choose from. One of my favorite wedding shops on Etsy is Modparty. I have purchased my flower girl/ring bearer proposals, (flower girl/ring bearer proposal blog post here) bridesmaid gifts, t-shirts, anything you can think of for the bridal party & more, they have it! Some of my favorite proposal boxes linked here & here. Also, here are a few other items linked below from Modparty.
The boxes above are from Etsy as well but from a different shop. They can be found here. I thought these were so unique and fun. I actually found them after I had asked majority of my bridesmaids & maid of honor, otherwise I would have purchased them for everyone since they are so cute!
Next, Amazon plays a huge factor because helloooo two day shipping?! Oh & let’s not forget that Amazon is super affordable if you’re leaning towards more on the budget side. They have so many boxes & bags available to purchase that look identical to some of the ones on Etsy for a cheaper price. Here are a few ideas linked below!
Linking all items below pictured. Hope you guys found this helpful if you’re a bride-to-be, newly engaged, or helping out someone who is! Let me know what else you would like to see!
